Day 1
Comfortable transport from Astara. Astara is a small picturesque port city and an important transit point on the route Baku-Tehran. A trip to the South of Azerbaijan, Lankaran city; Lunch; Visiting– Round Tower, Khan Palace, Mayak tower; Dinner; visiting burning spring; Alasha Tower, Istisu; tea plantation; Khanbulan Lake and walking in the forest of Damiragaj; Arrival in Lankaran. Hotel accommodation; Rest; Overnight in Lankaran
Day 2
Breakfast. Chek-out; Today we will have a trip to Lerik. The city is located far from the sea, surrounded by forests and is one of the mountainous regions of Azerbaijan. The city is famous for its longevity, and together we will try to find out their secret! We will visit Museum of longevity; Khalifa Zechariah's tomb (as it was said, the grave of the daughter of Genghis Khan is in one of these tombs ); Cave Buzeyir; Dinner; Resting near the waterfall of Guneshli; Arrival in hotel; Rest; Overnight in Lankaran
Day 3
Way to Baku. Check in Hotel; Lunch; Rest; You will be met by our guide and driver at your hotel to begin Baku city tour, the capital and commercial hub of Azerbaijan. Start your walk in Icheri Sheher – the old part of the city. Visit Maiden Tower, Shirvan Shahs’ Palace, Caravanserai, and market square with numerous art studios and souvenir stalls. Continue to the Memory Alley Shehidler Khiyabany that opens up a great panoramic view of Baku city. Further, you will explore 19-20th centuries architecture: Nizami Street, Fountain Square, Nizami Ganjavi monument, Rasul-Zade Street. An excellent round-up of the city tour will be a visit to the National Carpets Museum, the richest bank of Azeri carpets. Excursion will be finalised with a drop-off at your hotel/place. End of the tour.
Day 4
Today you will explore Greater Baku and Absheron peninsula. Today’s program starts with Gobustan National Park. Pay a visit to the Petroglyphs Museum and explore petroglyphs dating back to 10,000 BC. Continue to mud volcanoes in Gobustan Reserve. Gobustan is home to almost half of the world’s mud volcanoes. Later drive to Ateshgah – temple of fire worshippers located in Surakhany village. Zoroastrians from India travelled thousands of kilometers to Ateshgah to worship fire coming out of the earth. Drive to Yanardag Mountain with natural gas burning for several thousands of years.
Return to Baku. Overnight at the hotel.
